Evertis Ibérica, a Portuguese company within the IMG Group, is moving forward with a new industrial initiative in Badajoz (Extremadura) focused on the production of flexible films. The project envisages the construction of a new industrial plant with an annual production capacity of 9,000 tonnes and the creation of more than 48 jobs. To implement the project, Evertis Ibérica plans to acquire a 15,000-square-metre plot at the Plataforma Logística del Suroeste Europeo in Badajoz.
The project aims to strengthen the Group’s vertical integration, enhance operational flexibility, develop in-house know-how and reinforce its supply chain, improving efficiency, quality control and cost optimisation across the value chain.
In-house production will also allow greater flexibility in developing solutions tailored to customer needs, improved supply predictability and enhanced market competitiveness, enabling the development of customised solutions through the internalisation of the design and manufacture of flexible materials.
From a sustainability perspective, the project will support progress in the development of multilayer films that are recyclable and incorporate recycled content, in line with IMG Group’s commitments to the circular economy and the reduction of environmental impact.
To develop this initiative, the company Everbio España, S.L. has been established and is currently 100% owned by Evertis Ibérica, S.A., an IMG Group company. The entry of a public partner, Extremadura Avante, with a 30% shareholding is planned, with Evertis Ibérica retaining 70% of the share capital once the corresponding administrative process has been completed.
The commissioning of this production facility, its first plant in Spain, is currently scheduled for June 2027, according to current estimates. The project will be implemented progressively, in strict compliance with all applicable technical, operational and environmental requirements.
With this initiative, Evertis and the IMG Group reaffirm their commitment to industrial development in Extremadura, innovation in sustainable plastic materials and the creation of long-term value, in line with their sustainable growth strategy and the strengthening of their production capacity.

The traceability of the recycled raw materials involved in the manufacture of the film and the management of plastic waste resulting from the production process.
The percentage content of recycled plastic incorporated into the film manufactured over a certain period of analysis, in accordance with the EN 15343 standard.
