The adaPETation® Network is IMG Group’s platform for scaling circular plastics solutions with social and environmental impact. It brings together organisations, innovators, researchers and community leaders working towards a more inclusive circular plastics economy.
During 2025, the network underwent a strategic review and reorientation to strengthen its contribution to our social impact priorities. This process focused on prioritising initiatives that use plastic circularity as a tool to generate social value, including programmes that promote inclusive recycling value chains, circular innovation and community-based sustainability initiatives.
The network was created to address systemic challenges associated with plastic production, waste management and environmental degradation, while recognising the potential of circular economy solutions to support social inclusion, sustainable livelihoods and ecosystem restoration.
By connecting initiatives across regions and sectors, the network fosters collaboration and enables organisations to share knowledge, practical experience and innovative approaches to circular plastics management.
The transition towards circular plastics systems requires cooperation between industry, civil society organisations, research institutions and local communities. No single actor can address the complexity of plastic pollution and materials management alone.
The adaPETation® Network helps bridge these sectors by connecting initiatives that combine environmental action with social development. Through this collaborative ecosystem, organisations working on circular plastics solutions gain access to partnerships, knowledge exchange and opportunities to scale their impact.

Supports collaborative initiatives that use circular plastics solutions to address environmental and social challenges. Projects combine responsible plastics management with actions that strengthen community resilience, support ecosystem restoration and create sustainable livelihoods, and are designed to be scalable and replicable across different geographies and contexts.
